R.V. Chassis Rally Comments
Our first annual R.V. Chassis Rally is over, and was a success!
Here are some comments from people who were able to attend.
These comments have been pulled from a thread on the iRV2 website.
We are here at the rally.
There are a modest number of coaches here, but the spirit and excitement is high.
The setting is great (just feet away from a par 27 golf course) and the Source Engineering folks are giving everyone personalized attention.
We had a nice tri-tip lunch today, great discussion sessions and entertainment this evening at the Eagles Lodge associated with this site.
Tomorrow (after the hosted breakfast and a quick, free round of golf) we get a lot of one-on-one face time with very experienced folks from Cummins/Onan, Allison, Roadmaster in addition to Source Engineering.
Tomorrow night is a prime rib dinner.
If we knew all rallies would be like this, we would attend more rallies!

What Bill said.
Also, from my newbie perspective, it's great to be able to talk to some of the other coach owners. Got to see a Silver Leaf in operation with integrated tire pressure monitoring. Guaranty Motor Homes has five or six coaches here for inspection/sale. Got some solid tire-related advice from one of the Source guys.
Am looking forward to hearing the other vendors and collecting more information today. This has been a great experience so far.
Thanks to the guys at Source for putting on this rally. For those of us gaining our sea legs it was good to be able to get solid answers from knowledgeable people.
For all of the attendees it was a chance to understand what could and possibly should not be done to improve the handling and ride of one's coach.
As with most gatherings, the best part is meeting and talking with people who share a common interest. It was fun to put faces to names from iRV2 and other boards.
We'll do this again if the opportunity arises.

Hello All – it was a good to meet everyone and I look forward to the next Chassis Rally.
For those who could not attend, for two days we had complete access to the Roadmaster & Monaco engineering folks and their chassis suppliers. While the focus was on chassis discussions, the informal chats went in any direction. That kind of access is unique.
The folks from Source Engineering did a great job and the venue was excellent and as Bill pointed out, there is par 27 golf course – I am no golfer but I thought low score won (maybe I need a golf rally).
It was kinda weird to meet someone for the ‘first’ time with a real name and then after hours of casual conversation learn their IRV2 screen name – all of a sudden I knew this person. Weird.

Yes, they are definitely planning a rally like this next year. Also, most (and probably all) of the vendor experts there said they would return next year.
I should emphasize that not one vendor pushed any product they had to sell. They were there to help us. Don't miss this rally next year.

It was a good rally for Source's first attempt.
Great content and it was good to meet other RVer's interested in chassis issues.
I came away with names and phone numbers for when issues come up in the future.
The food was excellent. I will be back for the 2nd annual.
